About Knights of Columbus Council 11631
The purpose of our council is to provide a Catholic, fraternal, men's organization dedicated to church, community, council, family, and youth activities.
The foundation for growth and service in this organization is family. Family is the root from which all the activities evolve. This fraternal group bands together for the purpose of providing for the spiritual and material welfare of the membership. The common denominator of membership is the Catholic religion.
Who are the Knights?
The Knights of Columbus was founded by Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, CT in 1882. Since then, the Knights of Columbus has grown to be the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.7 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.
